Holes!!!

Question: e-What did you find surprising about the book?

Holes was a book that kept my mind racing. Each day I read Holes, there was a new surprising adventure. There are many surprising parts in my book. One surprising part I found about this book was that Stanley was innocent for the action of stealing baseball shoes from the famous baseball player, Clyde Livingston.

Stanley, being innocent, was surprising to me because the whole story was about Stanley working in the scourching desert, and as his blisters on his hands gash open so does his past. He finds out more about his no good, dirty rotten, pig stealing, great great Grandpa. He also gets to know his mysterious friend Hector Zeroni also known as Zero. As Stanley and Zero travel to Big Thumb MT., Zero reveals that he stole the shoes and was walking with them down the road, when he heard the ringing of the police sirens and people yelling, " The shoes are gone." Zero said with a choked voice to Stanley, "I got freaked out and threw the shoes over the bridge, and then they bopped you on the head." That's when the police arrested Stanley for stealing.

Then on through the story things get better for the both of them. They found the missing treasure from the outlaw Kissin Kate Barlow. After they got freed from camp, Stanley got to live the life he dreamed and Zero found his missing mom.
